Duplicating an existing novel
For users with a Standard Novel Factory licence, you can have as many novels on the go as you like.
You can create a brand new project at any time by following the instructions here.
However, you also have the option of duplicating an existing novel. This can be particularly useful if you want a new draft of an existing project, or if you’re writing a series that uses a lot of the same supporting material (characters, locations etc.).
To duplicate an existing novel, navigate to the ‘My Novels’ section and then click the ‘copy’ icon above the novel you wish to copy.
You will then be shown a pop-up where you can enter the details for your new novel.
Once you are happy, click ‘Save’ and you will be shown a message that says your novel is processing. Please note that this can take a few minutes, especially if the novel you are copying has a lot of data associated with it.
Once the process is complete the window will close automatically and your new novel will be set as the ‘Active’ novel ready for you to work on.
